Zajímavosti
Letos na jaře jsme měli návštěvu z USA. Reagan se podílela na projektu zlepšení zásobování skladu.
I currently am a senior at North Carolina State University studying business administration with a focus on Information Technology. For the past six weeks, I have been working for P-LAB as a supply chain intern to develop solutions to increase efficiency and maximize space in the warehouse. I worked with my supervisor, Tomaš Přikryl, to provide an effective solution to improve the process of how goods and people move around the warehouse. Our mission was to find the best alternative that simultaneously limits costs and maximizes efficiency.
It was very exciting to be a part of a project of this importance and made me excited for a future career in this field of study. I also got the opportunity to work with other departments to ask questions and learn what they do every day. After speaking with Lucie (marketing), I am also interested in pursuing a career in marketing because I like the creative aspect that marketing requires. No matter what area of interest I pursue in the future, I am grateful that P-LAB allowed me to explore different areas within the field of business. Throughout my experience, I have learned so much about P-LAB, supply chain, and myself.
I love the restaurant Polévkárna Paní Mančo which has the best Georgian food. If you ever eat there, I recommend the adžaruli chačapuri. I could name so many different restaurants in Prague that I enjoyed but there are too many to choose from. During my stay, I have traveled to several other countries, but none of them compared to the Czech Republic. I found myself traveling on the weekends and missing Prague. I felt comfortable in the city and it reminded me of home as the weeks went on. The time has gone by so quickly and I am going to miss all the people, beautiful scenery, and delicious food. Another one of my favorite things about Prague is the public transportation system. I appreciate the fact that you can get on a tram, bus, metro, or train from wherever you are in the city. I am going to miss having accessible public transportation back home.
Lastly, I am going to miss working at P-LAB because of the people that work here. Although I was not able to communicate with everyone, I still felt welcomed and accepted, which was something I was very thankful for during my time here. From what I could tell, P-LAB has extremely hard-working and driven employees which are characteristics that I look up to and hope to experience when I enter the workforce at home. I am planning to continue practicing my Czech and hopefully, by the next time I visit, I will be able to get to know everyone more!
I wanted to say thank you again to Tomaš for giving me this incredible opportunity to expand my knowledge of supply chain and for allowing me to be an important part of the warehouse improvement project.
Děkuji
